Raffia is a natural fiber obtained from the leaves of the raffia palm, and it is very durable.

The more you use it, the more the resin contained in the raffia increases its luster and softness. By weaving, it becomes even more durable, and bags or hats made with braided raffia can be used for a long time. Most of the process of this raffia craft is done with ‘hands’. No special tools are needed.

Please enjoy the time making it while feeling the softness of the raffia with your hands. Weaving and binding, weaving and binding—it takes a lot of time, but it is a very luxurious time.

Enjoy the natural aroma as you create wonderful works.

Akiko Ishizuka

The first time I wove a basket was when I was in elementary school, taught by my grandmother. I have always liked baskets, and since I encountered natural raffia fiber, I am so engrossed that there isn’t a day I don’t touch raffia.

I convey the satisfaction of incorporating something you made with your own hands into your life, and the joy of being able to make the things you love and use yourself.

Everyone who uses our services says that they love baskets.
Let’s share a fun time together.
